But Kaelen’s Null-Weave disrupts the gravitational constants locally, causing the Shadow Box to snap inward on itself a failed trap that forces Cocora to expend vital energy to prevent her own magic from imploding.

Anila, in desperation, uses a full-power Hyper-Healing Pulse, not to attack Kaelen, but to try and repair the fissures in the Core crystal.

She realizes Kaelen isn't fighting them; he's fighting the Nexus.
